I am in the Air Force, one of my troops was called by CRA and harrassed about money he owed before he went overseas. He has been overseas for the last 5 years. As soon as he got back to the states they called and harrassed him and threatened to take his career. I have talked to them myself as soon as I started asking questions they got hostile. I unfortunately paid his debt off to protect him. (I thought I was protecting him) Now I worry about them taking my money. I want something to be done about them. Can you help?

Aside from the fact that they pretended they were potential clients to get me to call, they ended up being shady "debt collectors" trying to scam me out of seven grand. When she told me I had 1 hour to transfer to them seven grand or I'd "regret it", man was I steamed.

I've reported them to the District Attorney in New York State, the FTC and the BBB.
