I got a credit report last week to see how my credit was, and unbeknown to me was a outstanding debt for 25 dollars, which had been on there since June of last year. As I found out, I had paid this debt at the time I got the bill, but the medical billing dept. that handled it never notified the credit handling services and they reported it to the big 3 credit bureaus as delinquent. Needless to say I have been irate since finding this out. At both of these companies for ruining my credit and not getting any answers to why it has happened. I really don't know why there is not recourse for people who this happens to. I imagine there is not enough money involved for the attorneys of today. It is really sad that there aren't people who don't just do the right thing for honest people who try to maintain their credit for years and years.

This company shows a $61.00 unpaid account on my credit report that is not mine. I have contested the report and have called and asked them to send me proof that this is my debt. They won't do it. They refused. It deducted 50 points from my otherwise good credit score, and it's not even my debt! This credit reporting stuff is a debtor's nightmare. Just like Steve's comment above, it's not worth an attorney's time. I guess I just have to wait for it to fall off.

These people are charging me $30 for the past 2yrs and they have never sent me anything that could possible indicate if this is even my debt. They are messing with my credit score.
