Cases Against Encore Receivable Management

Canlas v. Eskanos & Adler, P.C.
The court denied a motion to dismiss. They did not subscribe to the claim that a false threat of suit is implied by a demand for "voluntary payment" from a debt collector so that "further action" would not happen.

Tilton v. Eskanos & Adler, P.C.
The court denied Eskanos & Adler's claim for an award of attorney fees alleging the suit was brought in bad faith when it was brought after a settlement of a time-barred collection suit.

Heartless...
I was contacted by this company. I worked out a agreement with them and three months later they changed the agreement, it went from $4800 to $6700. I have paid on time and has agreed upon. I am now in a financial hardship, but i explained that to them, they just said they did not care and for me to pay them the money. I am facing getting evicted and losing everything, even my child over this financial hardship.

smarter than these people
I think they are a bunch of worms. High pressure scam artists buying debts that have written off by banks and lending institutions for penneys on the dollar and trying to pressure people into settling for a lesser amount. Thing is, they can't "settle" squat ! They are taking peoples money. Their web site don't work and there email always bounces back saying over quota.

They are snakes, I called them to push a payment back a week only because the funds wouldn't available and they said too bad borrow it. I live on my own and have no means of borrowing money so I told them my lawyer will be in touch.

Directly violated the FDCPA by refusing to adhear to my demand for no contact at my place of employment. Collectors like this are the ones that give all collectors a bad name.
