Global Acceptance Credit Company (GACC)

Several people from this office call my job 4-5 times a day, harrasses whoever picks up the phone. They demand that they have paid a debt from a compant that i didn't owe a debt to. Now I am being told that either pay them $1,000+ or they will put this info on my credit report & i will surely lose my job. (this is not the case) but why would some one call me to say pay us or we'll make you lose your job.

These people call my house my job about money I do not owe them. They call holidays weekends whenever they feel like it. The also lie and say they are calling from the Social Security Office, like the a Government office is open on Memorial Day

yes these people actually called my x wifes children 2000 miles away which I never had anything to do with nor even used them when we were married for any kind of reference on credit. There claims are bogus, they break every credit act law and have many complaints against them with the FCC/FTC. Never pay a collection agency. If you have a debt you can pay go directly to the source.

These people are calling everyone (including my Dad's step-daughter) to try and collect on a debt they say he and my mom owe jointly. First, they have the wrong social security numbers for both people and keep trying to get the right ones. Second, the debt they keep referring to was written off over three years ago, so it is no longer valid and they can't legally collect anything. They straight out told my dad that they would keep calling anyone and everyone he knows (related or not) in an attempt to collect. This is harassment, pure and simple. I'm not sure how these kinds of companies stay in business. People out there need to educate themselves on the laws in place to protect us from this sort of thing. Do NOT pay this company any money. #3 comment John is right, even if the debt has been turned over to a collection agency you can request to only deal with the original debtor and they have to turn the account back over to them for you to deal with. This company needs to be shut down.

This company calls me non stop and I have no outstanding debts. And i have no written off debts.
I have NO DEBTS.

This company has called repeatedly looking for my husband's ex-wife's mother. The first time I called them back the person I talked to hung up on me. The second time I called a much more polite person took note that there is no relation between my husband and I and the person they were looking for and assured me that our phone number would be removed from their call list. We'll see.

This company has called my house from a hundred different phone numbers each day for a very long time and would not identify who they were. Finally I talked to someone calling from a local number and she TOLD me what my social, dob, and other information was instead of asking...I could have been anyone just saying yes...and then went on to ask me for my debit/credit card number to take payment over the phone...why would you give someone who you have no clue who they are over a phone? thats just ridiculous.

I received a call from this company today. I was told that they had sent me a letter stating what I owed to an address that I had never lived at! I got suspicious of the man I was talking to and looked them up. It says to never give them anything and to call the person or place that is supposedly using them. I will be making my call tommorow and see if I can get charges placed on these people.

I recently recieved a letter from an attorney stating they represented this company. i do not even know who the original debtor is and what the amount or anything is. Any major debt incurred would have been a least 8-10 years ago or more and would have been written off a long time ago. i am not sure what to do or where to turn.

In March Global Acceptance went through my business account and took 6075. and hasnt yet reported to the courts . This was from an old student loan. I am upset that this large amount of money can be taken and not reported so they can take it again. I don't know what to do...isn't this illegal? Is there a class action suit???

as a ex-collector i worked for Global Acceptance this company teaches there employees how to break the FDCPA FAIR DEBT COLLECTION PRACTICE ACT. Under this law thaey can not call your job if you tell then to stop if cont file suit against them,
Also they can only call you 1 time a day and cant call your family friend etc if you are not associated with the number if they do file suit.
if you tell them not to call you cell do to costing you money and they cont sue them,
They can not threaten you with law suit action unless they plan on doing it if they do sue them.Most the time you are talking to some one with an alias,also they can only call between 8am-9pm customers time zone
please get a tape recorder and tape the phone call becasue they will mess up and when they do sue them

I have received so many calls to my cell and I am not even the named person they want to contact when I tell them this number belongs to a different person they tell me to get in contact with the debtor except I don't freaking know the debtor but they don't care they want me to track them down. I have filed a lawsuit against this company for harassment and disregarding the laws and policies afforded to the public. They call 7am-12am. This company is corporate thuggery ran amuck and has to be held accountable.

I have receive a bill from these people saying that I owe for a student loan for a CDL license. I am 69 years old so what will I be doing with a CDL license and a student loan. I have never ever applied for a student loan in my entire life nor ever held a CDL license in my life. What for. I called them and wanted me to give them my Social Security # and my DOB.
I believe they are a scam to get money from people. I send this to my Attorney cause I believe this is called stealing.

These BOZO's have filed in my local county court to get a judgement against me. I even told them not to waste their money on legal fees, lets settle. No call back. No nothing
