Your credit score isn’t just a number you look at once a year or something you’ll need when you buy your next car. Your credit score is much more far-reaching, effecting your eligibility for renting an apartment or getting a new job. As credit plays such an important role in today’s society, it is imperative that you do all you can to get the best credit score possible. And these apps can help.

And to see just how costly a credit report error can be for your credit score, look at this list of errors and associated costs.

Best Apps to Manage Your Credit

Credit Karma

This great app supplies you with a truly free credit report along with account alerts when your score changes.  You can also monitor your accounts and keep track of your bill payments, balances, and more. The community of Credit Karma users also supplies invaluable reviews and advice to help you make better financial decisions. This app is an easy–and free!–way to keep up with your credit.

Credit Sesame

Another great app for monitoring your credit.  Like Karma, Sesame gives you access to free credit reports and account monitoring.  What’s nice about Sesame is that it aids tremendously in monitoring your loans and your financial progress on them.  The app also requires a separate 4-digit pin, which means that even if you lose your phone, no one will be able to access your information–a big boost to your financial security!

Equifax Mobile

Equifax, along with TransUnion and Experian, is one of the Big Three credit reporting agencies.  It only makes sense than to get the app offered by one of the main facets of your credit score. The app is not free; however, the security you gain will be worth it.

Mint

Although not technically a credit app, this handy financial app helps you manage your money and accounts–which in turn effect your credit score.  The app helps you monitor accounts, create budgets and track payment schedules–all of the areas of your finances that can lead to poor credit.

Pageonce Bills

Similar to Mint, this app is perfect for helping you keep on schedule with your bill payments and avoid late fees as well as dings to your credit.  You can even use it to track your cell phone minutes!  However great this app may seam, for maximum monitoring you will have to pay a monthly subscription fee.

With these apps in place you should be on your way to securing a fantastic credit score and financial security.
