Fair Credit Reporting Act Being Used in More Employment-Related Cases

Lawyers who represent employees have noted a large increase in the amount of class action cases being filed under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (the “FCRA”) related to employment screening practices.

The lawsuits are alleging that employers violated certain disclosure requirements found in the FCRA when employment screenings like background checks and credit reports.
