When you don’t pay off your payments or debts, a debt collection agency or creditor can sue you to try to collect the money that you owe.  If you lose in a lawsuit, a court could enter a judgement against you.   When a judgement is set it states the amount of debt and money that you owe and also allows it so that the creditor and or debt collector can garnish your pay and also have a third party- your bank- transfer over fund from any accounts that you may have.

What is Wage Garnishment?

Wage garnishment is an action set by the courts that forces your employer to withhold a portion of your income in order to pay the debts that you owe.  This can only happen when order by the courts.  If a summons comes to you- it is advised that you do not ignore it as you will lose your opportunity to fight back or get this action reversed.

The Fair Debt Collection Act is a law that is set up to protect you, the consumer. Know your rights, and the limits that the Debt collectors have to abide by, don’t stand for harassment of any kind.

Call Francis and Mailman to help fight against any false debt or abusive debt collection actions.

This company tries to make you believe they are suing you for the Plaintiff (Credit Card Company) when in fact the amount owed to the original debtor (Credit Card Company) has issued a Charge Off on the Credit Report Agency regarding account. This most likely purchased this bad debt on account for pennies on the dollar and then try and go after the Defendants for the full amount that was owed to the original Credit Card Company such as Chase who issued a charge off on the account (meaning they sold this account for practically pennies on the dollar to this firm. They don’t want to offer a settlement deal but only want to you to pay on a full amount of what the account amount was was with original Debtor (Credit Card Company). Will file Bankruptcy before I pay this company full amount! Bad company to deal with. Hope you bad debt doesn’t fall into thier hands!

I was garnished by Mann Bracken for a full year totaling over $13,000. I finished paying off the amount of the claim. Now, Bishop-White-Marshall is trying to come after me for another $1800+ that they claim I owe in interest. They claim they took over the account after Mann Bracken closed. How does this happen. I paid my debt.

This company take advantage of consumers 99% most of the time. If you want evidence it’s easy. Go to Lexis database, search for motion to dismiss. Their defense is to dismiss people’s lawsuit fraudulently. They know judges and they do favor for each others.

I think everyone should get the information correct before posting information on the internet. Bishop does not buy debt and a charge off does not mean a creditor has sold it. You really should do some research before you put misleading information out there.
